COLLECTIVE BARGAINING TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED

Joint Statement between the School Board of Seminole County and the Seminole County School Bus Drivers’ Association, Inc.

Serita D. Beamon, Superintendent and Chonta Henderson, President of Seminole County School Bus Drivers’ Association, Inc.

In the spirit of cooperation, the School Board of Seminole County and the Seminole County School Bus Drivers’ Association, Inc. (SCSBDA) are pleased to announce that the parties have tentatively agreed to contract language and compensation.

  • Recurring salary increase for the 2023-2024 school year as follows:
    • Bus Monitors and Transportation Trainers:
      • All wage tables to increase 3.2% per step
    • Bus Drivers:
      • All wages tables to increase $1.50 per step
    • Eligible employees will receive a one-time retention bonus to be paid to employees based on total verified work-related experience with SCPS in the amount of $75.00 for each year of experience.
  • Recurring salary increase for the 2024-2025 school year as follows:
    • Bus Monitors and Transportation Trainers:
      • All wage tables to increase 3.2% per step
    • Bus Drivers:
      • All wages tables to increase $1.50 per step
