The RSVP project serves to complement our Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) Dividends Program through focused recruitment of senior volunteers to serve as tutors, classroom assistants and in other instructional support positions. In support of the Dividends Program, the goal of the SCPS RSVP program is to increase student achievement through meaningful intergenerational learning experiences among students and senior community members as an essential part of each school’s operation.This program offers individuals 55 years of age and over an opportunity to contribute their time, expertise and knowledge volunteering service to the community. RSVP is a national organization sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service a federal agency in partnership with Seminole County Public Schools.
