Seminole County Public Schools Athletics
Why Athletics Matter
Athletics are more than games, practices, and competitions. They are an extension of the educational experience.
Participation in athletics teaches students how to work toward a common goal, overcome adversity, lead by example, and compete with integrity. Student-athletes learn valuable life skills that help them succeed not only in sports, but in the classroom, the workplace, and their communities.
As part of the SCPS AAA Experience, athletics play a vital role in helping students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically while becoming productive citizens and future leaders.
A Tradition of Excellence
Athletics are thriving in Seminole County Public Schools.
Quite simply, we have the best.
The best coaches. The best athletic directors. Dedicated support staff. Passionate communities. And some of the finest student-athletes in the State of Florida.
Year after year, SCPS student-athletes compete at the highest levels of high school athletics, earning district, regional, and state recognition while representing their schools with pride, character, and sportsmanship. Our programs consistently produce championship performances, academic achievement, and individual excellence both on and off the field.
We are proud to be home to state champions, state runners-up, scholar-athletes, Coaches of the Year, Athletic Directors of the Year, Hall of Fame inductees, and countless students whose accomplishments extend far beyond athletics.
While we celebrate championships and trophies, our greatest source of pride is the impact athletics has on the lives of our students. Every season, our coaches, schools, and communities work together to develop young men and women who demonstrate leadership, integrity, service, and excellence in everything they do.
That is the Seminole County tradition.
