School Safety & Security Town Hall

(SANFORD, FL) Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) will be hosting a School Safety & Security Town Hall Meeting, in conjunction with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), on Thursday, March 9th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lyman High School (Auditorium) to inform parents on School Safety in SCPS.

This meeting will feature a distinguished panel of speakers that includes SCPS Superintendent Dr. Walt Griffin, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis M. Lemma, School Board Chair Amy Lockhart, Executive Director of High Schools Mike Gaudreau, Winter Springs High School Principal Mickey Reynolds, and School Safety & Security Director Captain Richard Francis.  An indispensable question and answer session will follow where our group of esteemed panelists will take questions from parents on school safety comments or concerns.

Topics that will be covered include:  Student Safety Education, Prevention Measures, and Parent & Family Notification Protocols. In addition, there will also be dialogue on the collaboration between SCPS and Local Law Enforcement, School Resource Officer training and more.
