The Office of Alternative Programs

This department encompasses alternative education as well as the Teenage Parent program, Boys & Girls Town, John Polk Educational Center, Eugene Gregory Academy (Consequence Unit), the Juvenile Detention Center and elementary alternative education.

Mission

The mission of the Office of Alternative Programs is to provide alternative programming and interventions for those students who are experiencing truancy problems, misconduct problems, social and emotional difficulties, family dysfunction, or other difficulties that affect their abilities to stay in and perform well at school. The main goal is to provide support for students to succeed academically and socially.
