Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) held a Disaster Relief Drive for Puerto Rico on Friday, September 29, 2017 and on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The donation drive was a huge success. The community came together as students, parents, grandparents, teachers and school board members (Dr. Tina Calderone and Mrs. Amy Lockhart) helped gather supplies and load them on to three U-Haul trucks. These donated items were shipped to Puerto Rico on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

Supplies Still Needed

Supplies are still needed including flash lights, solar power chargers, water filters and boxes. In addition, school supplies are needed for incoming students from Puerto Rico. Such as notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil cases, loose-leaf paper, crayons, highlighters, backpacks and markers.

Donations will continue to be accepted through October 13, 2017 at the SCPS Pre K Building/ESOL Family Connection Center (239 Rinehart Rd., Lake Mary, FL 32746).

Student Enrollment

For those families needing to enroll a student arriving from Puerto Rico, each zone school will assist with the registration process.  Please do not worry about missing documents. SCPS staff will assist you.
