Common Nine-Weeks Assessments

The distirct Common Nine-Weeks Assessments (C9As) are given for the following subjects for Quarters 1, 2, and 3:
Grades 6-10 Enligh Language Arts
Grades 6-8 Math, Algebra 1, and Geometry
Grades 6-8 Science and Biology
Grade 6 World History, G7 Civics, and G8 US History

ACT & SAT School Day

ACT & SAT School day allows the district a way to offer the ACT and SAT to juniors and seniors, on a weekday, expanding access to globally recognized college admission tests that's widely accepted at U.S. colleges. By breaking down barriers to access, ACT and SAT School Day, can have a profound impact on the community - opening doors to college, scholarships, and financial aid for every student.

Seminole County Public Schools will offer ACT and SAT School Days for the following students currently enrolled in an SCPS High School:

October 5, 2021 - ACT for Grade 11 (all students) and Grade 12 (only students who have not met graduation requirements)

October 13, 2021 - SAT for Grade 12 (all students)

March 2, 2022 - SAT for Grade 11 (all students-reportable) and Grade 12 (optional; reportable)

March 29, 2022 - ACT  for Grade 11 (all students-reportable) and Grade 12 (optional; non-reportable)

More ACT and SAT Opportunities

ACT

The ACT, administered voluntarily to high school students, measures performance on English (75 questions), Mathematics (60 questions), Reading (40 questions), and Science (40 questions). An optional Writing test is also available to measure skill in planning and writing a short essay. The ACT is offered several times throughout the year, and students may take the test multiple times.

The ACT must be independently registered and paid for by students. To register, click here.

SAT

The SAT, administered voluntarily to high school students, measures Critical Reading (67 questions), Mathematics (54 questions), and Writing (49 questions and 1 essay) skills that students need for success with college-level work. The test is offered several times each year, and students may take the test multiple times.

iReady (Grades K-8)

i‑Ready is a comprehensive assessment and instruction program that empowers educators with the resources they need to help all students succeed. 

STAR Reading and Math (Grades 6-12)

Renaissance Star 360® includes interim assessments for reading and math, helping you determine the best instruction to meet the needs of all students. Each assessment produces valid, reliable data and can be completed in about a third of the time it takes to complete other benchmark and interim assessments.
