Maintenance

The mission of the Facilities Services department is to provide a safe, effective, and efficient learning environment for all users of Seminole County Public Schools facilities. Our dedication to this mission is driven by a deep sense of responsibility and a genuine desire to support the educational journey of the students and the work of the teachers and staff. We are the silent champions in the background, making it possible for Seminole County Public Schools to deliver high-quality education in an environment where safety, functionality, and comfort go hand in hand.

The department keeps all facets of the schools in operating condition by conducting repairs and maintaining components of all buildings in the district. For efficiency, the department is divided into nine zones comprised of approximately 1-1.5 million square feet. Each zone is staffed with approximately 10-12 staff.

In addition, the department is responsible for performing annual fire and safety inspections at each location and monitors electricity, water, and gas usage throughout the district to conserve and save money.

The maintenance department is located at 820 East SR 434, Winter Springs, FL 32708. All maintenance comes through this department. Schools and sites put in a work request via a web-based work order system.
