CTE is good for students, good for businesses, and good for communities. For students, engaging in CTE programs not only prepares them for successful careers but also helps them make informed decisions about their future by exposing them to diverse options. For businesses, CTE ensures a pipeline of skilled and qualified workers, reducing recruitment challenges and contributing to increased productivity. Additionally, CTE benefits communities by fostering economic development, as a well-trained workforce attracts businesses, stimulates local economies, and enhances overall community well-being.
In Seminole County, middle and high school students can select from a menu of dozens of CTE programs including Career & Professional Education (CAPE) academies, which must meet rigorous requirements identified in Florida law. All CAPE academies lead to industry certification, dual enrollment, and/or college credit through career pathways articulation agreements.
ePathways partners with schools to offer innovative programs that prepare students for careers that are high-wage, high-demand in Central Florida. Learn more about the programs offered in SCPS by clicking on the SCPS Resource and School Choice Guide
