School Grades (Florida's A+ Program)
In addition to monitoring student progress, state assessment scores are also used to help in the evaluation of schools and districts. Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and End-of-Course (EOC) test scores are used to determine school performance. The percent of students who score at Achievement Level 3 and above for ELA, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies are combined with the percent of students achieving learning gains for an overall score. This score is then used to award a grade to all qualifying schools.
