Seminole County Public Schools Names Top Twelve Finalists for Teacher of the Year
(Sanford, FL) Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) proudly announces the twelve exceptional educators who have been selected as the finalists for the 2027 SCPS Teacher of the Year. These distinguished teachers represent the pinnacle of dedication, innovation, and passion within our A-rated school district.
The finalists were chosen from a pool of outstanding educators who were first honored as their individual school's Teacher of the Year. The top three finalists will be named in early December, and will include the District Elementary, Middle, and High School Teacher of the year.
The district winner will be named at the annual SCPS Teacher of the Year Celebration January 23, 2026, and will go on to represent SCPS in the competition for the Florida Teacher of the Year.
"This group of twelve finalists truly embody the spirit of excellence that defines our A-rated school district," said Superintendent Serita D. Beamon. "Their commitment to shaping young minds, fostering dynamic learning environments, and going above and beyond for our students is inspiring. We are so proud to recognize their outstanding contributions to education and our community."
