Home Education students are required by section 1002.41(1)(c), Florida Statutes to submit an annual evaluation of your student's educational progress to the school district. The statute provides several options for completion of the annual evaluation.  One of the options that you may choose to meet his requirement is participation in the state progress monitoring (PM) assessments and/or End-of-Course (EOC) assessments.

Students participating in the Personalized Education Program (PEP)  or the Family Empowerment/McKay Scholarship Program may participate in statewide assessments (per Section 1002.01, F.S.). Personalized Education Program (PEP) Program FAQs (click the link to view)

Parents/Guardians planning to return their student to a public school prior to high school graduation should remember that some state assessments are used for course placement or graduation requirements.
