Let’s Read, Seminole! Summer 2012

Through continuing parent outreach funding from Title I, and community contributions, the Let's Read, Seminole summer reading initiative will enter year six in the summer of 2012. The district goal is to "Read Every Day" since today’s readers become tomorrow’s leaders! Reading is a vital skill in any and all career paths, and students completing book logs can turn them in at their school after the summer for a chance to win school or district prizes.  Once again the Big Red Book Bus will be traveling around Seminole County weekly during the summer. This traveling library allows even more students to have access to great reading materials over the summer months. Students are encouraged to read books, or other materials, in print or digital form, from their home, the library, school media centers, the bookmobile, or book stores.  Visit the Let’s Read, Seminole website at http://www.letsread.scps.k12.fl.us/ to find the Big Red Book bus schedule, book recommendations, reading response activities, or additional book logs.
