SCPS 2010 School Grades

The A+ School Grades have been released by the Department of Education -- the School Grades reports are based upon school performance on the FCAT Sunshine State Standards (SSS) on Reading, Mathematics, Writing, and Science tests.  School Grades are issued by the state, while Adequate Yearly Progress is determined in conjunction with the Federal Department of Education, in accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act.  The Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) reports have also been released.

Continuing the success of previous years, which has become the hallmark of the school system in Seminole County:
√   SCPS was graded an “A” District by the Department of Education (DOE), as has been done every year by this school district since the inception of district grades in 1999.
√   SCPS designated an Academically-High Performing School District by the Florida Department of Education.
√   SCPS ranked #1 in FCAT Reading, Mathematics, and Writing for all Central Florida districts.
√   SCPS ranked #1 in the state for FCAT results, compared to the 17 largest districts and #3 in the state overall.
√   Nationally, all nine high schools ranked in the top 3% of the nation according to the Newsweek rankings released during the summer.
√  Thanks to the continuing efforts and commitment of our teachers, parents and the community at-large, SCPS looks forward to continuing the tradition of success in the 2010-2011 school year!
