IDYLLWILDE & WICKLOW ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS GRANTED CANDIDATE STATUS IN PURSUIT OF BECOMING IB WORLD SCHOOLS

(SANFORD, FL) – Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) is proud to announce that two of its Magnet Schools, Idyllwilde Elementary Future Ready Academy and Wicklow Elementary Magnet School for Global Pathways, have been approved as candidate schools for the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

These schools are currently pursuing authorization to become IB (International Baccalaureate) World Schools.  IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.

Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes:  the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP).  Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
