(SANFORD, FL) SCPS will host a School Safety and Mental Health Summit on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Lyman High School located at 865 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd., Longwood, FL, 32750. The focus of this joint educational event is to raise awareness about mental illness and increase knowledge about mental health services and threat assessment teams in schools.

With an expert panel of school personnel, local law enforcement, and community partners in attendance, community stakeholders will be given the opportunity to learn the importance of addressing mental illness in children.

Childcare will be provided for school-age children. The event is open to the public.
