SCPS Teacher Evaluation System  New!

The Professional Development Department of Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) serves to assist all school board employees in attaining and maintaining skills, knowledge, and attitudes that enable them to perform more effectively in their professional roles. The Professional Development Department Goals for 2011-2012 are in alignment with the following Seminole County Public School goals:
  • Improve all students' learning (support the K-12 Reading Comprehensive Plan, Writing, Math, and Science)
  • Support, train, and develop highly qualified teachers
  • Promote continuous learning (employees, students, and parents)
The Professional Development Department offers training opportunities for all (SCPS) employees. Classes are offered throughout the year and are available in instructional improvement, curriculum delivery, management skills, technology, multicultural education, and a variety of other areas.

All employees are strongly urged to take the opportunity to register for classes of interest. Each school has an instructional and Educational Support Personnel professional development representative who is responsible for posting notices of upcoming inservice offerings.

The Professional Development Department is located on the second floor of the Educational Support Center.
