Featured Teacher - Kristie Demeter - Endeavor School

Kristie Demeter was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania.  She moved to Orlando when she was seven and attended Seminole County Public Schools for most of her school career. She graduated from Lyman High School in 2000 and furthered her education at the University of Central Florida.  While pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Kristie began her career within Seminole County Public Schools as a paraprofessional at Rosenwald, located in Altamonte Springs.  She was nominated as Rosenwald’s School Related Employee of the Year for 2008.  After graduating from UCF, Kristie became certified in the fields of Elementary Education and Exceptional Education, as well as received her endorsement in Reading.  Kristie graciously accepted the position as a high school Reading and English teacher at Rosenwald, and followed the school when it relocated to Lake Mary and became Endeavor School.  She was nominated as Endeavor’s Teacher of the Year for 2013.

Kristie has always wanted to become a public educator and is proud to continue her service to the profession through Seminole County Public Schools. She accredits her accomplishments to the continuous love, support, and encouragement of her husband, Adam, her beautiful daughter, Lilith, her brother, Steven, her parents, Tom and Cindy McPherson, and to her principal, Mrs. Cathy Loyd….all of whom have always believed, supported, and encouraged her to make her dreams become a reality.
