Seminole County Go Tobacco Free

Effective July 1, 2012, joining School Districts and Universities from around the nation, Seminole County Public Schools became tobacco free. As we strive to develop citizenship in our schools, the example of being tobacco free sends a positive message to our students. This policy creates a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty and staff. Prohibited Uses: The use of tobacco, including but not limited to smoking, is prohibited anywhere on the property or campus of any facility owned, operated, leased or contracted for by the Board. The use of tobacco, including smoking, is prohibited in Board owned vehicles. There shall be no designated smoking areas on school district property. Tobacco cessation programs and stop smoking aids are available through the Risk Management and Employee Benefits Department.
